Humility at Mt. Caniaw, Bantay, Ilocos Sur

I love being in the mountains, especially once like this. They can build up a good and broader perspective. Help us realized that we’re small and vulnerable.

They humbled us. And we need to be humbled because we have the tendency to really saying we don’t trust God. To be humble is also to recognize that you're going to make mistakes, but that you can learn from those mistakes and do better.

When you lose that humility, mistakes always become someone else's fault. People screw up. People make mistakes. Helping both yourself and others fix those mistakes is what eventually leads to a successful life.

Mount Caniaw is located at Bantay, Ilocos Sur. It's usually called by the natives as "radar" as the term would say is the home of radio, cable and communication of the province. We started to travel at about 5:00 am in our house (Tamag, Vigan City) and we arrived exactly 6:00 am.

As my feet stepped on Mt. Caniaw to see the panoramic view of Abra of the Cordillera Administrative Region, the other side of Ilocos, I could not help but be amazed and pamper myself taking photos of the beautiful scenery in front of my eyes.

As a natural picture-snapper, curiosity arose in me the first time that I saw this while we are on our way to “radar”. It was a perfect place for supreme getaways for those who love nature and serenity—myself being one of them.

And every place or mountain we hiked had a common pose in which we’ve raised both of our arms to the sky with our faces beaming with happiness.

Surely I admire this place, it makes you realize that GOD is bigger than you and your problems.
